About Dr. Benatti

I am a Licensed Psychologist serving as a psychotherapist, supervisor, consultant and speaker. I received my Masters and Doctorate degrees in Clinical Psychology at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology- Chicago, IL in 2016. I completed my clinical residency at UT Health, and two-year fellowship where I received advanced training in child and adolescent psychology, psychodynamic psychotherapy, psychological assessment, and treating developmental complex trauma and PTSD.  I am able to offer Telehealth video sessions for individuals all over Texas and other states under PSYPACT (see services section for more information.)

In my role as a psychologist, I strive to reduce the stigma related to mental health while helping people lead lives that are fulfilling. I do this through working individually (one-to-one therapy,) family/couple's psychotherapy, leading workshops, and providing consultation to healthcare providers and businesses.

My work is grounded in a trauma-informed care framework, allowing for safety, trust, transparency, collaboration, and empowering my clients to have a voice and choices in their lives.

Integrity, transparency, compassion and communication are the main pillars of the work that I do and I have established my practice with these core values.

In therapy, I use an individualized approach and treatment model for each person I encounter. I begin by attempting to fully comprehend your story, what makes you unique. My psychological understanding and tools can only take us so far, and I believe that the relationship we are able to build is at the epicenter for effective psychotherapy. I integrate various tools and techniques to provide relief and work collaboratively with my clients to reduce symptoms, teach skills, and manage difficult situations over time.

In my practice, through warmth and compassion you can expect to feel welcomed, understood and safe. I utilize a non-judgmental approach as it is my priority to ensure that you feel comfortable.

Beginning the search for a psychologist and consultant can be a daunting task, which is why I take the time to answer questions and provide a free over the phone (15 min) consultation to ensure that I am the best provider to meet your needs.
